Cant change to TLS 587 Pin Lock 0 Recommended Answers 22 Replies 46 Upvotes 1 Recommended Answer 0 Recommended Answers 1 Relevant Answer 0 Relevant Answers Hi. I have successfully used another email as an alias until about 3 days ago when I began receiving bounceback messages on outgoing emails with the message STARTTLS not supported and the user requires enforcement. When I go to edit infonext step, I see the TLS port is listed as 25, and Im thinking this needs to be changed to 587. However, when I click Save Changes, I get a message: Server returned error: STARTTLS not supported and the user requires enforcement., code: 500 The only change Im allowed to make is to keep as port 25 and use an unsecured connection. This does allow me to successfully send emails, but Im concerned about security. Are you saying to resolve this issue, I would need to contact the operator of my server Im having the same issue and also previously received this notice: Youre sending this from a different address or alias using the Send mail as feature. The settings for your Send mail as account are misconfigured or out of date. I deleted my send email as account, then successfully re-added it after many failed attempts, thinking that may have fixed it but now am still receiving the STARTTLS not supported and the user requires enforcement message. I have even tried sending emails from my original account, without the send email as account, and I still receive the STARTTLS message. I wish Google would release some clear instructions beyond leading me to the setup a send email as page. Helpful 0 0 bkennelly Diamond Product Expert 41920 Get Link Report Abuse Recommended Answer Relevant Answer STARTTLS usually works on both ports 25 and 587, but it depends on the provider. May also support using port 465 with SSL, so I suggest that you try that. SSL is TLS, but using a different connection method.).
